Snow Canyon State Park 

is located in the spectacular brillant red rock area around St George, Utah. Snow Canyon State Park is named for the discovers of the area, so do not expect the cold white stuff. You may recognize areas of the Park that were featured in the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Drive down a long Park valley surrounded by multicolored Navajo Sandstone and volcanic flows. Keep alert for contrasting of colors and fantastic shapes that have been carved by water and the winds over millions of years. Bring a picnic to the park's rest areas or enjoy a lunch at the many restaurants in St George. To reach Snow Canyon State Park travel north on I15 to St George and exit at N Bluff Street. Take a short drive through St George on Utah Hwy 18. As you approach the entrance to the Park, there is an overlook. You should fill your eyes with the view.
