Kodachrome Basin State Park

is just east of Bryce Canyon is a Utah State Park with colors so vivid that they named the park Kodachrome.  The geologic structures within the park are unlike any others that you have seen.  The tall pillars seem to be build by an extra-terrestrial being.   Let  your imagination name each.  Kodachrome Basin lies south of Cannonville.   As you drive the amazing Utah route 12, do not miss this special place.   From Las Vegas take Interstate 15 north to Cedar City Utah.  View the map to view the series of state routes to 89.   Once on 89, use Utah route 12 to a whole series of parks including Kodachrome Basin.   This park has outstanding RV camping but other facilities are limited.   There are a  series of motels and restaurants all along route 12.
